CityLife Auckland is really well-placed for people who want to see and do things in Auckland, e.g., a nice walk down to the ferry and other mass transportation options. And Ubers are plentiful and always arrived within minutes. The ability to connect suites to in effect have a 3-bedroom/2-bath apartment for the 2 weeks we were there was crucial! And having in room kitchen and laundry facilities was crucial, too! You are close to everything you might need from restaurants to clothing stores to grocery stores, etc. And for the sake of comparison, we budgeted out nearby options for Airbnb rentals and concluded that CityLife's price compared pretty favorably; at the same, time, we eliminated the unpredictability of Airbnbs, which was also key as we were coming from thousands of miles away sight unseen with kids and more than a dozen suitcases in tow and we were not going to have the luxury of simply switching accommodations at the drop of a hat! Thank you, CityLife.

Excellent location for shopping and dining. We had a basic twin room and a king suite. Both rooms were nice and clean. The king suite was quite big and we appreciated having the kitchen to use for our breakfasts (they provided coffee with a coffee press/kettle, tea and milk). It had a full sized dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer as well. They do provide parking, but valet only at $45/night. There are parking garages next to the hotel which likely may have had a better price. They also have a filtered water machine in the lobby, which I appreciated for refilling my water bottle.

Location is very good - close to Queen Street, harbor, 2 steps away from the SkyTower. You have shops, restaurants and supermarkets within a short walk distance. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. We especially appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine and dryer. Very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed with them for 1-2 nights 3 times within a 3 weeks timeframe. They agreed to deposit some of our luggage in between the stays - it was really really appreciated as it made our life lots easier touring New Zealand.

Cristina

We were pleasantly surprised when staff asked if they could store our luggage until we needed later on in the day. The location is perfect as walking distance to Britomart precinct and waterfront restaurants. Rooms were very quiet, warm and very clean. Beds extremely comfortable, so much so that we noted names on mattress and are going to look for same to buy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception desk and foyer was all beautifully presented and decor excellent which is always pleasing when entering.

Pauline

Amazing value. Well equipped kitchen. Ultra clean, loads of space, very quiet, excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Would be an excellent choice for a longer stay or with children as facilities were all there- dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave. We didn't have a chance to use these as arrived late and left early. Would definitely choose again and recommend.
