CityLife Auckland is really well-placed for people who want to see and do things in Auckland, e.g., a nice walk down to the ferry and other mass transportation options. And Ubers are plentiful and always arrived within minutes. The ability to connect suites to in effect have a 3-bedroom/2-bath apartment for the 2 weeks we were there was crucial! And having in room kitchen and laundry facilities was crucial, too! You are close to everything you might need from restaurants to clothing stores to grocery stores, etc. And for the sake of comparison, we budgeted out nearby options for Airbnb rentals and concluded that CityLife's price compared pretty favorably; at the same, time, we eliminated the unpredictability of Airbnbs, which was also key as we were coming from thousands of miles away sight unseen with kids and more than a dozen suitcases in tow and we were not going to have the luxury of simply switching accommodations at the drop of a hat! Thank you, CityLife.

I really liked my stay and had a lot of space. The staff was super friendly, I would have just wished there was more information up front, that there is the possibility of valet parking, as finding a parking space was super difficult. Otherwise, I could explore Aukland by foot from the location and there were two Asian restaurants (one Korean, one Chines) just across the road, and the main street around the corner, so it was easy to get some late snacks. The staff was super friendly and I could leave my baggage on the last day, so that I could enjoy Aukland harbour without worries. :)

Our 16th floor room had a great view of the SkyTower and we even had a glimpse of the Harbour Bridge. Just off central Queen Street is a handy location for downtown, the CBD, and not far from the airport buses and Vic St W car rental. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen reasonably well-equipped. We had an extra bed in the lounge, and had to ask for an extra chair for the dining area but this was provided without fuss. We also made use of the valet parking which was useful. Reception staff were helpful and friendly.

Location is excellent and the valet parking service also. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional and the level of cleanliness is very good. Room sizes good and bathrooms lovely. We made use of the 15% discount at nearby Coffee Club and had a great breakfast which lasted us well into the day. My daughter and I stayed in one room with my mother in a separate room. In hindsight we should have booked adjoining rooms, but weren't aware that was an option. Will remember that for next time :)

It's the quietest hotel I've stayed at in the CBD, which can get noisy on the weekends. The saltwater pool has seen better days, but it's well heated, and I had it all to myself. Right in the middle of Queen Street and easy access to a supermarket, bars, shops, and restaurants. They provide a goodie bag encouraging you to take the toiletries you started. Excellent shower pressure and temperature. Beds are comfy. This will be my number 1 choice if I have to stay in town.
